Mother Connection Uses Innovation And Science to Bring You A Bra That Connects You To What You Love Most

Our Story

As the creator of Free To Feed I struggled to find a sports nursing bra that not only was easy to use, but was comfortable and didn’t make me feel like I was detached from who I used to be. There’s no doubt that becoming a mother is one of the greatest privileges and challenges a woman can ever face, and much of that comes down to having to rebuild ourselves from who we were and embrace our new ever changing lives with our newest bundle of joy.

I needed support in more ways than one but every bra I tried lack the most important aspect I craved, to feel like a strong mother and independant woman.

Before Free to Feed I felt the weight of the stress and anxiety as I wasn’t able to focus on the joy of breastfeeding because I was spending my time adjusting myself and my bra in order to have a strong flow for my newborn, as well as modesty and comfort for myself. I felt like no matter what bra or crop top I tried or even a combination of both it wasn’t good enough, I looked like something the cat had just dragged in and my self confidence hit rock bottom.

I was missing a great opportunity to bond with my baby, and I wasn’t alone. After speaking to a global audience of women it became very clear we all wanted the same thing, connection. That’s why I invented Free to Feed.

Not only have I designed the most supportive, evolving, and fashionable nursing sports bra on the market, but I have been able to create it in a way that helps me reconnect to my ‘self’ which has dramatically improved my confidence. Now showing up to my baby and life as the mother and the woman that I want to be.

Free to Feed is a breast above the rest making anything in comparison look like a glorified crop top. The design has been created with scientific backing for you to feel free to feed without the restrictions and limitations that current nursing bras offer.

The best thing about Free to Feed is that you don’t need to be an athlete to feel and reap the benefits. Motherhood is a sport in and of itself, and no matter what activity you are doing, your breasts and the liquid gold they hold are going to be supported and protected at all times.

Everything about Free to Feed has been carefully considered and rigorously tested to give you everything you want and need in a sports nursing bra.

Free to Feed is the only sports nursing bra on the market to take care of the most important aspect of being a breastfeeding mother, having a joyus and stress free breastfeeding experience.

By encapsulating the breasts instead of compressing tightly to the chest, you’re allowing for better milk flow for your baby when nursing. You’re also allowing for breast volume fluctuation as your milk comes and goes, all while avoiding blocked milk ducts and possible mastitis which for a breastfeeding mother is a really painful nightmare.

The width of, and the adjustability of the strapping, the conversion clip, as well as the 6 different positions on the 4 eye-and-hook clasps means that not only can you change the look of the bra depending on what you’re wearing, but you can adjust the fit comfortably as your body evolves.

By replacing the uncomfortable underwire with flexiwire, including a wide bottom band, along with a far superior full coverage design, you can be assured your breasts will stay in place while keeping the support where it is needed, around your body and not putting pressure on your breast tissue. With this level of support you can avoid vertical displacement and embarrassing moments whether you are reaching into the bottom of the pram or running a half marathon.

Free To Feed is the sports nursing bra every mother who desires to feel connected to herself as a woman and her baby as a mother, needs, no matter her level of activity. It’s your right to feel amazing, have unwavering support, and feel Free To Feed.

Free To Feed Sizing Guide

Free to Feed has been design with both the pregnant and postpartum mother in mind. As your body invariable changes throughout pregnancy and postpartum we understand that your ribcage and size will expand and retract. This is why Free to Feed has a generous 6 position, 4 eye-and-hook back clasp band to move with you. The size range shown in the Underbust column above shows the flexibility in the fit of each size that allows for changes in your body as a result of exercise and postpartum changes.

For pregnant women, you want a size that is going to fit comfortably on the loosest hook which will allow for when your ribcage retracts after you’ve had your baby. This gives you the opportunity to bring your sizing in while still fitting beautifully around your body.

For all postpartum and nursing mothers, you want a size that is going to fit comfortably around the third hook. This will allow room for your body to shrink as a result of changing hormones, losing weight due to breastfeeding, and any to all the activities you’re doing, high impact or otherwise.

When properly fitted, Free to Feed will provide the high impact, bounce reducing support your milkfilled breasts need and deserve.

How To Measure For The Perfect Fit

Step 1 – Measure Your Underbust

While not wearing a bra, or while wearing a nonpadded bra, measure around your body at the bottom of the bra band, directly under your bust. The measuring tape should be level and very snug.

Step 2 – Measure Over Your Bust

Measure across the fullest part of the breast, at the point where your nipples are.

Step 3 – Find Your Size

Using your measurements and the chart above, identify your perfect Free to Feed bra size.

Important: Please note that our sizing chart is in centimeters, not inches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Free to Feed have a flexiwire? Isn't that a no-no?

Through our extensive research and development of Free to Feed, we discovered that the addition of a flexiwire not only helps the bra to keep it’s shape but also provides superior support that your breasts need and deserve.

Many new mothers may have concerns about wearing an underwire bra while pregnant and nursing. The concern is that the rigidity of the wire could impact your breast tissue, blood flow and your milk ducts leading to clogged ducts or even mastitis. However, there is no evidence that (correctly fitted) underwire bras are linked to blocked milk ducts and other lactation problems.

By replacing the traditional uncomfortable underwire with a flexwire and including a wide bottom band, along with a far superior full coverage design, you can be assured your breasts will stay in place while keeping the support where it is needed, around your body and not putting pressure on your breast tissue. With this level of support you can avoid getting knocked out by your ‘girls’ and can exercise in comfort knowing your milk ducts are not being impacted.

Can I wear Free to Feed bra while pregnant?

Absolutely! Free To Feed has a 6 position and 4 eye-and-hook back clasps as well as adjustable back sliders and a racerback conversion clip which means not only can can adjust your bra to fit your changing body from pregnancy right through to years postpartum, but keep stylish no matter what you choose to wear.
